Economic Empowerment and Social Development
Investing in women’s economic empowerment sets a direct path towards gender equality, poverty eradication and inclusive economic growth. Women make enormous contributions to economies, whether in businesses, on farms, as entrepreneurs or employees, or by doing unpaid care work at home. However, they also remain disproportionately affected by poverty, discrimination and exploitation.

Agriculture, Food Security and Livelihood
As part of our commitment to agriculture, food security and livelihood, we support improved agricultural livelihoods by providing critically needed agricultural inputs, such as seeds, tools and fertilizer to crisis-affected households. We support farmers to re-start their productive livelihoods and earn income.
Moreover, we train farmers in climate-smart agriculture and raising poultry and livestock and equip them with inputs like seeds, tools, poultry, livestock, and feed to jumpstart their businesses. MOVE also recruits and trains local leaders to serve as community promoters who provide onsite support and advice to farmers.

- Paying teacher salaries and other aid.
- Empowering local communities to support and prioritize education.
- Building and renovating schools to foster a safe space for children to harness creativity
- Providing back-to-school supplies such as uniforms, stationery, and backpacks to alleviate the costs of education
- Enhancing the quality of education through teacher training and resource provision
- To improve access to quality education and enhance educational outcomes in rural areas of Afghanistan
- Illiterate or semi-literate Afghan women and men have easy access to educational and vocational programs
